Hello! I hope you are doing well! It is my turn to share a tip/technique on behalf of the Artisan Design Team 2023 (you can see all our tips on the Stampin’Up! Facebook page or @stampinupofficial Instagram page.
(Click on the images below for a list of suggested products and instructions)
I used the cloud border from the Basic Borders Dies to create bigger clouds to use as backdrops for the balloons from the Beautiful Balloons Bundle.
Start with a diagonal cut on a piece of cardstock/paper that measures the same as your card front (or sized slightly smaller if you want to leave a small border on your final project). Photo 2: Play around with different placements of the cloud border die for the next cut (to create a cloud shape). Try to line up with a curve from the first die cut.
Add texture and interest to the cloud shapes with stamps, dry embossing or by die cutting from Designer Series Paper (a personal favourite is the Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper).
I used Vellum and Designer Series Paper for the cloud shapes for this card.
To give a dimensional look to the balloons, I used Blending Brushes to add darker colour to the bottom of the balloons. I love the look of the following colour pairs: Bubble Bath and Berry Burst, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock, Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Before you go, I have two great promotions to share with you…
