Country Woods Suite Collection: A Colorful Tribute for Mom

I want to start by wishing you a very Happy Mother’s Day (if you are a new mom, a Steph-mom, mom of a fur baby… there are so many ways to be a mom) but if this day is causing you to be sad for whatever reason, know that I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my mom a few years back (the day before Mother’s Day) but I am so grateful to have the best mother-in-law in the world and today’s card is for my ever positive, forever young mother-in-law, Amanda.

My mother-in-law was blessed with a green thumb, she loves bright colours and shabby chic decor. I made this card just for her!

I used products from the Country Woods Suite Collection, one of the new suites from the NEW Annual Catalogue, to make this card. This suite is an mega suite that comes with two bundle, two Designer Series Paper packs, an embossing folder, ribbon as well as with embellishments.

I added tone-on-tone texture to the leaves and flowers with ink smooshing. I also created a Gingham pattern with a Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and Basic White cardstock. The Thoughtful Expressions Dies were retired recently but I cannot see myself letting go just yet.
I used the Country Lace Designer Series Paper to create ‘wallpaper’ and a ‘tablecloth’ and also stamped the metal can onto a piece of the DSP. The ‘FLOWER MARKET’ stamp adds the perfect final touch!
