That was so sweet of you

I hope all is going as well as can be in your neck of the woods! In Western Australia we find ourselves in lockdown after 10 months of no community spread. There is also a bushfire raging in Perth’s Northeast – with over 70 houses destroyed already. I cannot imagine the devastation. There is just so much going on and I try to stay positive, not only for myself, but also for my loved ones. I aim to share a smile (or more accurately a wave) wherever I go (mostly the grocery store) and as always I find my comfort in creativity.

I am still having so much fun with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle and the coordinating Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (a SALE-a-bration freebie).

Today’s cards make me smile and I hope they will do the same for you! I created three cards using the same design but pulling different colors from the Designer Series Paper.

Measurements:

Standard A5 card base (14.5cm x 10.5cm folded), Designer Series Paper measuring 7cm x 4cm, Basic White scrap pieces to stamp the small blossom three times, the partial floral image (leaves only) and the sentiment.

I started off by stamping the floral image twice in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White card base (place the DSP piece onto the base to get an idea of where to stamp). Stamp the outline of the small blossoms three times and then stamp the solid blossom to fill the outlines. I used a narrow strip of Basic White for this.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut with one of the labels from the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I used sequins from the Artistry Blooms Sequins for flower centers and clear gems from the Flowers for Every Season Gems for more embellishment.
