Thanks

Today is one of those perfect Winter days that we are so lucky to have in Western Australia! No wonder we’re celebrating WA Day on Monday! Today is also my birthday! I might have hinted before that my husband loves to cook?Thankfully he is also very good at it! When he asked what requests I have for my birthday, it was quite easy! His homemade chicken nuggets! This way my kitchen stays clean and that means more time in my craft room!

Today’s card was inspired by TWO challenges! The sketch inspiration comes from the newest Global Design Project challenge.

I love the simplicity of this sketch.

I love how this sketch could go in so many directions. I decided to go with my favourite tone-on-tone look – I used Polished Pink for the card base and added the diagonal feature with embossed panels in the same colour cardstock.

The colour inspiration comes from the CololurINKspiration challenge #100!

The perfect colour combination!

As a student, many, many years ago I used this exact colour combination. At first just to make my schoolwork look pretty and then later on to highlight or add colour to my study notes and this past week my thirteen year old daughter showed me her study notes… guess what the same colour combination!

I replaced Magenta Madness with Polished Pink and Bermuda Bay with Coastal Cabana.

Polished Pink is definitely my favourite Stampin’ Up! ink at the moment!
Our Paper Snips Scissors are perfect for fussy cutting.

For this card I started with a Polished Pink card base and an embossed background in the same colour. The embossing folder comes from the Thanks & Hello Embossing Folders and Polished Pink is one of our new Stampin’Up! In-colors 2021-2023. I stamped the flower outline image from the Hand-penned Petals stamp set (available in a bundle with the Penned Flowers Dies) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink before filling in with the solid stamps in Coastal Cabana and Polished Pink ink. The sentiment was heat embossed in White on Basic Black cardstock and then fussy cut with Paper Snips Scissors. I used Coastal Cabana cardstock to die cut leaves with one of the dies from the bundle. I added three watercolour stripes with a Water Painter to a strip of Shimmery White cardstock (I used Coastal Cabana, Polished Pink and Gorgeous Grape ink) before using the Scallop border die from the bundle to cut an accent piece for my sentiment. Finishing off with Polished Pink Jewels from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels

Thank you for stopping by! Just a reminder that Stampin’ Up!’s new Kit Collections are now live and they are amazing!

Choose your favourite and let the creativity flow!

.Take care!
