Today I am sharing a card inspired by this week’s Global Design Project colour challenge.
(Click on the images to see what Stampin’Up! supplies I used as well as instructions.)

I mostly use Shimmery White cardstock for watercolour backgrounds or in this case I added watercolour wash to the floral die cuts. The easiest way for me is to add ink to a Stampin’ Block and use a Spritzer to add a little water to the ink on the block – then I lift colour with a almost dry Water Painter and ‘drop’ it on to the die cut pieces. This way I can decide what colour I want where – for example I dropped Pear Pizzazz and Balmy Blue on the floral die cuts and Pear Pizzazz on to the die cut leaves.
Instead of using adhesive all over the back of the Designer Series Paper strips, I used Glue Dots here and there – this way the strips were not adhere flat to the card front and instead had a little dimension to them. Stagger the flower die cut pieces when assembling the flowers with Glue Dots.
Feel free to add more gems or ribbon to your taste!
Don’t forget that SALE-a-bration (a big Stampin’Up! promotion) is currently HAPPENING and whether you place an order, host a party or join as demonstrator you can earn FREE product! Read all about it and see all the products you can earn in the brochure!
