Happy Easter

Hello! I hope your are enjoying the Eater weekend! Today is Saturday and after my blogpost I will be supporting my hubby (and the rest of the line up) at the Scarborough EDM Festival! He is a very talented Dance Music DJ and this will be a great opportunity to see him live!

The latest Colour INKspiration challenge inspired my Easter cards for today, #ci119 (find them on Facebook and @colurinkspirationchallenges). I used the Easter Friends Stamp Set, the Flowers of Home Dies and the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder to make these cards and I loved how it turned out! Some of the products I used will be retiring soon but I suggest you use some of your favourites in your stash to replace them (or maybe it is time to add to your craft space ;)).

Those tiny little speckled eggs inspired me even more!

(Click on images below for a list of the products I used as well as instructions)

I started by creating my backgrounds first.

These ink smooshed backgrounds were inspired by my favourite Easter treat, Speckled Eggs. Just so you know, there is no way that I will bin the negatives – I love the die cut pieces just as much as the negatives!

I even had some pieces left over for a second Easter card!

Do you use your negative die cut pieces?
Don’t be afraid to fussy cut! Or to use only parts of the greetings! This way you can make it work for you and you get so much more out of your stamps and dies!

I wish you well for the new week coming! Happy stamping!
