Hello! I hope all is going well in your neck of the woods! After a few wild weather days in Perth, I can see a few sunrays peeking through the clouds this morning!

Today I will be sharing my very first Scrapbook page! I have always found a 12″ x 12″ size piece of paper very daunting! To be honest if it wasn’t for the pack of 12″ x 12″ Basic Black Cardstock included in a my recent Artisan Design Team Box, I’m not sure that I would’ve ever given it a go. I was also inspired by fellow Demonstrators on Instagram (@cindyschuster and @stampwithbrenda) and I think you will too!

After MANY tweaks, I finally settled on this layout and I love it! you are more than welcome to CASE my design (tag me on Instagram @stampingwithmelodie) because I would love to see what you do!
I love the look of White heat embossing on pitch Black cardstock and not one to shy away from fussy cutting, I used the floral images from the Perfectly Penciled DSP to add more monochromatic layers. I also added my favourite tone-on-tone layer with Basic Black leave die cuts.
I thought that the Mint Macaron ‘create memories’ die cut circle from the Today is the Day Memories & More card pack worked beautifully with the woodgrain pattern from the Texture Chic DSP. I also thought that the woodgrain would echo the tree bark in the photo. To bring in a little more
The sentiment was White heat embossed on to Mint Macaron cardstock to bring in more Mint Macaron. For Everything Fancy Sequins and Black & White Gingham Ribbon finishes off the page.
