Three tips for a tone-on-tone look – ’tis the season

Hello! As the year is nearing its end so is my Artisan Design Team assignments for 2022. Today I am sharing three of my favourite ways to add a tone-on-tone finish. Tone-on-tone (using the same or a similar colour) is one of my favourite tricks to add interest to a card without taking away from the focal point. Before I add my next layer, I will always see if there is a way for me to add extra interest or texture using the same colour ink, paper, etc.

Sweet Sorbet has been my go to Red for the season.

I love to fussy cut and the stunning Poinsettias from the Boughs & Holly DSP was perfect to add festive flair to my card front. The sentiment is from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set.

All and all a quick card to put together! I hope you can use some of my tips to add a little more to your card! Let me know when you do!

Take care!
