Gleaming Christmas card ideas!

I think it is high time for more Christmas Card ideas!

I decided to change my process up a bit this time! Instead of going through my normal slow trial and error process, I started by Gold embossing a lot of the ornaments from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set on different colored card stocks, stamping sentiments, die cutting labels, etc. before I started playing around on my card fronts. I used Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Shimmery White and Coastal Cabana. I had so much fun!

My favorite color of all time is Pretty Peacock (Teal). Add Mossy Meadow and Night of Navy to the mix and you have a definite winner in my eyes! When I saw the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Catalog, I was giddy with excitement! The variety bundle also included the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set as well as the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack AND came with a 10% discount! It was an easy decision!

I used the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes for all 4 cards and the Tasteful Labels Dies will definitely be a favorite of mine for a long time to come!

I found that the Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder works perfectly with the Copper foiled paper and as shown previously on this card. So does the Gilded Gems.

I love the look of the Gold embossing powder on the Copper foil sheet but the experience definitely comes with a word (or two) of caution. Do not get too close with the heat gun and don’t stay in the same place for too long – the foil will melt. Let your Heat Tool warm up for 20-30 seconds before bringing it to the Foil sheet.

The Supply List

I really cannot believe how quickly these cards came together and to top it all off, I have so many left over pieces! I will be sure to share those with you soon!!

I will catch up with you soon! For the moment I am able to post often, if you don’t want to miss out, be sure and follow my blog!
