A gratitude journal

A while back I purchased a 3-pack of pocket notebooks with Kraft covers (from Officeworks) – I love the earthiness of Kraft and that you can dress it up or dress it down. One of my favorite staples from Stampin’ Up!’s color range is Crumb Cake and maybe I am late to the party but together with Petal Pink and Whisper White it creates the perfect soft color combo!

These pocket-sized notebooks are perfect for small Gratitude Journals and together with a K-mart pen or pencil (beautiful and inexpensive in multi-packs!) they make the perfect gift.

WAIVER! – The sentiment I used came from one of my all time favorite stamps sets (Pursuit of Happiness) but it is unfortunately retired now. Here are few alternative sets with sentiments related to gratitude:

I started with a water colored background (Petal Pink was my color of choice) and then used a few stamps from the Tasteful Touches cling stamp set for more interest. I embossed this piece with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and then finished this layer by slowly tearing the edges. The decorative die cut piece comes from the Fabulous Florals die set and was cut from Crumb Cake card stock. This die set also comes in a bundle (All Things Fabulous Bundle) and purchasing the bundle comes with a 10% discount!

Butterflies, clear gems and a tiny off cut of colored Whisper White ribbon completes the decoration! This journal will fit perfectly in an Acetate Card Box (145486, p 152 of the Annual Catalogue).

The Supply List

I am absolutely in love with this project and it was really easy to create! Do you think this will make a great gift? Let me know!

If you frequently spent money on card making supplies, why not become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator? If you are in Australia and would like to join, I would love it if you would become part of my team (The Very Mellow Stampers)! During the month of September 2020 your kit will include two extra stamp sets as well as everything you need to host your first workshop!

Take care!
