Joyful Holly Christmas card

Hello again stamping friend!

It seems the year is speeding to an end and the kids keep me busy! I added some new products to my stash (it arrived last Friday) – my fingers were itching to create but alas, I had to wait… I am so happy to share a simple, very traditional Christmas card with you today!

I started of with luxurious Cherry Cobbler (I love the richness of this color!) card base. Instead of adding a tone on tone look once all the layers have been added ( like I did), now is the time to do it! Here are my measurements for the layers:

The patterned paper measures 10 cm x 9 cm. Flat layer.

The stamped layer measures 11 cm x 8,5 cm. Dimensional layer.

The sentiment strip measures 9,5 cm x 3 cm. Dimensional layer.

I stamped the outline of the Holly with Early Espresso ink, filled the leaves with Granny Apple Green and the berries were stamped with Real Read ( I used the brighter colors to stamp on the Crumb Cake card stock). The sentiment (from the Snow Wonder stamp set) was heat embossed in Gold. I finished off my card with a few Gilded Gems.

I have seen quite a few examples where the Joyful Holly stamp set was used for a background, I wanted them to be the main feature of my card. I am also going to see if I can replicate this card but with a different color combination. I am looking forward to share a variation of some sorts with you on my Instagram/Facebook pages!
