A sweet card for a sweet friend

Received a Special Mention for this Global Design Project Challenge (#gdp281)

I hope things are going well your way! In Perth we are enjoying some early Autumn rain (and a thunderstorm or two!). Perfect weather for crafting! If you happen to be a little short on time, you are in luck – today’s card is a quick one! This card was inspired by a new colour challenge over at Global Design Project.

I love to use the patterned paper from the Designer Series Paper (DSP for short!) Assortment packs. This time I used the Bermuda Bay patterned paper from the Brights Assortment DSP as a background layer for my stamped image. The pieces measure 9cm x 4.5cm each. I used golden stitching to adhere the pieces to the Basic White card base. The vine image (from Sweet Strawberry stamp set) was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink on to a piece of Basic White measuring 7.5cm x 5cm. The cute ‘sweet friend’ sentiment is from the Oval Occasions stamp set (bundle up with the Double Oval Punch and save 10%) and stamped with Real Red ink. I To add more interest and dimension, I stamped the small blossom from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set with Real Red ink on to Blushing Bride cardstock before punching it out with the coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch (another opportunity to bundle up and save 10%). For embellishment I used Gilded Gems, Oval Rounds and Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon (so pretty).
