Hooray it’s your birthday!

Hello stamping friends! It seems like me feet are only touching ground here and there! Hopefully my life will be calmer now with all dental and eye appointments out of the way! I would much rather spend my time creating!

I have been eyeing the sketch challenge over at Global Design Project for this whole week and my fingers were itching to create a card inspired by the simple but beautiful design. Although I kept my card simple, it took more than one take before I decided on the final entry!

So simple yet so many possibilities!
Stay tuned for my perfect soft rainbow colours!

I stamped the candle image from the Approaching Perfection (unfortunately a freebie from SALE-a-bration and no longer available) in rainbow order on a Basic White cardstock measuring 8cm x 14.5 cm. I stamped the image in the following order:

Magenta Madness (stamped off twice)

Calypso Coral (stamped off twice)

Daffodil Delight (stamped off once)

Mint Macaron (stamped off once)

Coastal Cabana (stamped off once)

Highland Heather (stamped off once)

I think the following two sets will work perfectly in place of the Approaching Perfection:

Borders to Background stamp set (January – June Mini Catalogue)

Baby Pull Toys (January – June Mini Catalogue) (the little heart and stars will work beautifully)

Any simply image than can be stamped to create a rainbow pattern will work really well!

I stamped the Many Messages stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black on to Basic White card stock before die cutting with the coordinating die. Buy the Many Messages Bundle and save 10%!

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the rainbow layer (slightly skew) onto a Basic White card base before adding the two sentiments and the sparkly Opal Rounds.

Look at those Opal Round sparkle!

Hot tip! I used Mini Glue Dots instead of Stampin’ Seal to adhere the sentiments – it just adds the tiniest bit of dimension!

Such a simple card but I really love how it turned out!
