Christmas Card Making Workshop

After a few busy days of prepping for my Christmas Card Making Workshop, I am so happy to share the projects with you! What a wonderful morning it was (accept for it being a scorcher of a day)! I think the best part for me was that all the ladies were new to stamping! They were all naturals and made my job so easy!

I focused on products from the Painted Christmas Suite – to me this suite is traditional with a very modern feel to it. It also includes one of my favourite sentiment stamp sets in the June – December 2021 Mini catalogue, the Christmas to Remember stamp set. We made 4 cards and decorated a Kraft Gift Box in three hours! I kept the designs simple (I let the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Seasonal Label Dies do all the work).

By adding a Vellum layer, I was able to let the sentiment shine! For this card I used the Notecards & Envelope set.
I used the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder to add texture to the background.
This was one of the favourites of the morning! I think it is the tone-on-tone background as well as the sponged greeting that did the trick.
Another favourite and little more challenging with all the stamping and die cutting! Again with tone-on-tone stamping.
The paper flower is very easy (but a little fiddly) to make and I used my Bonefolder to curl thin strips of Designer Series paper to add even more festivity!

Make a Paper Flower with the Ever Eden Cotton Specialty Paper. Cut 5 x 25 cm x 9 cm pieces (use light or dark green or a mix of the two). Keep all the pieces together with a Bobby Pin on one of the short sides and fold like an accordion all the way to the other end. Tie with Gold Simply Elegant Trim in the centre, lift the layers separately (and carefully) towards the centre to create the flower. Adhere with a glue gun after wrapping the belly band and the ribbon.

I think in the end the big star was the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, next time it will take my Heat Tool with!

I hope to be back soon with some new products that will feature in our upcoming January – June 2022 Mini Catalogue!

Take care!
