Have a perfect birthday

Hello stamping friend! What is new in your neck of the woods! Whatever it is I hope you are doing well!

Today’s card was inspired by a few challenges just because I loved all of them…

How beautiful is this card by the designer Kayla McCreadie – I love the distressed look and we have so many Stampin Up! sets that would work beautifully with this design.
I love this sketch from Just Add Ink and I thought the flower cluster from the Blessings of Home Bundle works so well with it.
I was inspired by Kayla’s frayed edges, layers and Gold accents.

Last but not the least my colour inspiration came from the latest ColourINKspiration challenge…

I loved how this colour combinations came from my favourite Australian native – the Eucalyptus.
For this card I used the beautiful Blessings of Home Bundle (available from 3 January 2022 in the upcoming Mini Catalogue), the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and paper from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper

I stamped the floral image with StazOn Ink on to Shimmery White cardstock, before watercolouring with a Fine Tip Water Painter (I used Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron ink) before die cutting with the coordinating die. I also die cut a few extra pieces from paper scraps, some with watercolour and some already embossed, to add extra layers and texture. The piece of DSP (measuring 9.5 cm x 14.5 cm) was distressed around the edges and adhered flat to the card front. In the top right corner I stapled a piece of frayed Gold Fine Art Ribbon. The greeting (from the same bundle) was stamped (and clear embossed) with Grey Granite ink.

Tip! I only added adhesive to the middle of the DSP piece, leaving the outer edges free to lift away from the card front.

My go to embellishment at the moment seems to be the Gilded Gems.

A reminder to stop by my Catalogues & Promotions page – there is soooo much happening at the moment!

Thank you for sticking with me to the end! I really appreciate it!

Until next time…

Melodie XX
