Everyday with you is an adventure

Hello! I am making the most of the sunshine before the rain is coming this weekend. Enjoying my favourite tea (Earl Grey), in my favourite spot while sharing a new card with you! During the month of August I followed along with The Crafty Carrot Co He’s All That August 2022 for the inspiration, the most amazing tips and techniques by some of the best in the industry. This week is challenge week and this is my card… and also a Father’s Day card for my husband (we celebrate the First Sunday in September).

(Click on the images below for a list of suggested products and instructions)

I loved Cindy’s layout and tearing technique, Jenn’s ink blending around the edges and Susan’s creativity when it comes to colour combinations and unravelling Linen Thread!

I came up with my own colour combination…

I followed Cindy Schuster’s sketch for the most part but added was also inspired by Jennifer Frost’s and Susan Wong’s cards!

There is still time to watch the recordings and Krista Frattin’s Live next week! And also to have a sneak peek at the great tutorials they have planned for the next three months (at a fantastic price)!
Tip! For a weathered look, I stamped of once before stamping the compass with Night of Navy ink. The unravelled Linen Thread adds to the nautical theme of the card.
Tearing and layering cardstock is very trendy at the moment! Tip! Don’t forget to add texture whenever you can. Here I added dry embossing to the sun.
One last look!
The card we made during one of the Lives and a card for my hubby to celebrate our wedding anniversary next March!

I hope you find bits of inspiration in my card too! Until next time… happy stamping!
