Artisan Design Team – September 2022 – Rustic Harvest Suite

I cannot believe that I am already sharing my Artisan Design Team project for September with you! For this month I was assigned the Rustic Harvest Suite Collection and I loved it!

This suite is packed! It even includes the Embossing Additions Tool Kit! And my nemesis, 12″ x 12″ Basic Black cardstock!

I love Autumn colours and the stunning colour palette of the Rustic Harvest 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper was right up my alley…

My go to cardstock size is A4, but with the 12″ x 12″ Basic Cardstock included in this suite, part of my assignment was to use this very intimidating, BIG piece of cardstock! It was a challenge for sure, but in the end I learned so much! There are quite a few options to choose from when it comes to working with a bigger canvas, for example a 12″ x 12″ scrapbook page, a gift box (the black will really show off a Designer Series Paper lid), a mini album (there are many tutorials on Pinterest), etc. I decided to showcase all of this suite using the 12″ x 12″ Basic Black cardstock as my backdrop. Have a look at the amazing projects some of my fellow ADT friends created with this suite on Instagram @stampinupofficial and Stampin’ Up!’s FB page!

(Click on the images below for instructions as well as a list of suggested products)

The 12″ x 12″ Basic Black cardstock was filled with 9 layered pieces (placed in a 3 x 3 grid). I upcycled the 12″ x 12″ frame from the Celebrate Today Magnet Board Kit to create an instant décor item!
I used two of the square dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut squares from the Rustic Harvest DSP as well as coordinating cardstock (I was able to use some of my bigger scrap pieces for this). I also stamped a few leaves with Mossy Meadow ink onto Pool Party cardstock (I wanted to add a little Blue to my colour palette). I used staples to adhere some of my layers – I just love the way it looks.
I used the different coordinating ink colours to stamp the images on to the coordinating cardstock before die cutting with the dies and I fussy cut some of the DSP images, altered one of the greeting to Gold heat emboss the word “blessing” on to Basic Black cardstock. I had so much fun mixing and matching all the different pieces!
I used Linen Thread, Old Olive Ribbon, Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and the Amber Gems (included in the suite) to embellish and add even more layers!
The tag was made with one of the tag dies included in the Celebration Tag Dies. I also used a tag to decorate one of the squares.

Tip! I think in the end, working with nine smaller pieces, instead of one big piece of cardstock, really worked for me!

I think this is one of my favourite ADT projects so far! Thank you for stopping by!

Happy stamping!
