With so much going on and with Christmas speeding towards us, I wanted to take a moment to just breath… and make a card for the sake of it. Today’s inspiration comes from the ColourINKspiration challenge team…
What a great colour combination! Starry Sky and Mango Melody really compliment each other and although I swapped Basic Grey for Smoky Slate, I love how it tones down the bright colours. It was so good to bring in Silver for a change (my go to is normally Gold).

Although I started with the strong colours, I ended up with something totally different…
Who knew this colour combo could be this soft! I created my watercolour background with one of the background stamps from thePerched in a Tree stamp set! I only added a pop of colour to the flowers.
I felt that the loose circles of Silver Trim highlighted the soft floral piece and also decided to keep the greeting (from the Very Best Occasions stamp set) very simple for the same reason.
I really love the end result and I think it is because I used my trusty Water Painters. Let me know your favourite way of colouring in! Have you tried watercolouring with theWater Painters?
