Sending happy thoughts

Hello friends! Another day and another creation with my new favourite Bundle! I cannot get enough of the Welcoming Window Bundle and the moment I saw the new challenge over at Global Design Project, I knew I had to pull the bundle for another fun stamping project!

I am a BIG fan of Krista Frattin!

My entry for this week! Let me tell you I had so much fun with this card!

Full disclosure! I went a little crazy! I do have a method to my madness! It is that time of year when Stampin’ Up! is making way for new products and a new Annual Catalogue (available May 2021) and that means it is time to retire some products! While I pulled quite a few favourites from the current January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue, I also used one or two retiring products. If you love those products as much as I do, don’t hesitate! They will be going fast and some selected items will have a deep discount attached to them!

I stamped a background layer of Petal Pink cardstock measuring 9.5cm x 13.5cm with the brick stamp from the Welcoming Window stamp set. I used Petal Pink ink for a subtle tone-on-tone finish but Versamark ink will also do the trick. The cute little pots (from the same set) were stamped on to Cinnamon Cider cardstock and stamped with the same ink colour, before I die cut them with the coordinating dies from the Window Flower Box Dies (bundle up and save 10%). The leaves and flowers was stamped with Mossy Meadow and Melon Mambo Ink on to Shimmery White cardstock. For a watercolour look, I spritzed the inked stamps lightly with water before stamping. Shimmery White cardstock is strong enough take a little water. And it has the most beautiful soft shimmer! I used the same technique for the vine stamp from the Quite Curvy Bundle.

The ‘Sending a little smile your way’ sentiment is from the retiring Fancy Phrases stamp set (also comes with the Fancy Tag Topper Punch in a bundle). The font pair used for the sentiments definitely made it one of my go to sets this past year! I stamped the sentiment twice with Mossy Meadow Ink on a strip of Shimmery white cardstock. For an extra bit of cheerfulness, I added a tiny sentiment from the Many Messages Bundle.

The clear gems are from the retiring Flowers for Every Season Gems and available at a 40% discount ($6.75) while supplies last! Australian customers only.

A little over the top? Let me know what you think!
