Thank you

Finally I can breath! Two weeks of dance competitions done and dusted! For now! This past weekend I realised (like so many times before) what a wonderful stamping community we have! I have not ever met a cardmaker that I couldn’t count on! I created today’s card because of one of those card makers (a fellow Demonstrator and my upline). The best way I know to thank someone is with a hand made card.

This card was a different version of a card that I created for a Stampin’ Up! event over the weekend. I decided to use the same design but with a stamp set from the current Annual Catalogue – the Hand-Drawn Blooms stamp set.

A bouquet to say ‘Thank you’.

Ink smooching is an easy and fun way to create a beautiful watercolour background! I use my Heat Tool to dry the background faster but I love the way it dries naturally.

My next step was to tear the paper on the left side as well as the top before stamping the the stunning floral bouquet image with Stazon Ink (I use this ink for all my watercolour techniques). A Fine Tip Water Painter added more watercolour to the blooms, blossoms and leaves. This layer was adhered flat with Stampin’ Seal to a Thick Basic White card base. The ‘Thank You’ sentiment (from the same set) was stamped on to a strip of Thick Basic White card stock and then added to the card front with a stapler. A tiny Linen Thread bow finishes of the card.

Balmy Blue for the sky and Granny Apple Green for a Green field.

This was such an easy card to create but it definitely had my creative juices flowing! I love a torn edge. It packs a punch! I hope that I have inspired you to play around with your favourite Stampin’ Up! colours! Share if you do!
