I cannot believe how close we are to sharing the wonderful new products in the upcoming new Annual Catalogue! Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalogue will be going live on the 4th of May 2021! So close! For now I am more than happy to share a card that I created with products from the current catalogues! This card was inspired by the CASE the Designer Challenge #288 over at the Global Design Project Challenge!

I was inspired by the soft colour combination as well as the ‘watercolour’ background of Manuela’s card and so decided to start with a soft Purple (Highland Heather) watercolour background. To add more interest to the background I stamped the ‘hello there’ sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set a few times over the watercolour background – I stamped off once each time before stamping on to the card front. The patterned paper strips are from the Playing with Pattern Designer Series Paper and was also the inspiration for my colour combination – Highland Heather, Night of Navy, Calypso Coral and Bumble Bee. I used a sentiment and label die from the Tasteful Touches Bundle – the sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink. The blossom stamp and punch comes from the Sweet Strawberry Bundle from our current Mini Catalogue (available until the end of June 2021). I added a Linen Thread bow and Opal Rounds to the centers of the blossoms to finish of my card front before layering on to a Shimmery White card base.

I really had fun creating this card and wanted to share my quick way of creating a smaller version of ink smooching. Now please bare with me as I share with you my first YouTube video! I will make work of this, because I feel that I am finally ready to do more of these!
